Despite previous attempts to resolve the issue, including jetting, the problem persisted. However, with our expertise and cutting-edge technology, we were able to identify and rectify the root cause of the problem, restoring full functionality to the system.

Identifying the Problem

Upon arrival at the site, our team immediately recognised the severity of the situation. The attenuation tank, designed to regulate the flow of water, was not functioning as intended, leading to widespread backups and external flooding. Previous attempts to resolve the issue through jetting had proven unsuccessful, indicating that a more thorough investigation was necessary.

CCTV Equipment for In-Depth Analysis

To gain a deeper understanding of the problem, we deployed our state-of-the-art CCTV equipment to inspect the drainage system. This allowed us to visualise the internal condition of the pipes and pinpoint any obstructions or abnormalities. What we discovered was startling: the attenuation tank was slightly off-set, causing a drastic reduction in the diameter of the drain from 150mm to a mere 20mm. This significant reduction in size was the primary cause of the blockage, resulting in the backups and flooding experienced on-site.

Implementing Robotic Cutting Technology

Armed with this critical information, our team sprang into action, deploying our IMS robotic cutter to address the issue. This advanced technology allows for precise cutting and re-opening of drains without the need for excavation or extensive manual labor. With unparalleled accuracy and efficiency, the robotic cutter swiftly restored the drain to its original capacity, facilitating full flow and alleviating the backups and flooding.
