In this post, we’ll share a recent success story where the lads from our team tackled a tricky domestic job that had been causing the customer persistent blockages.
The Challenge:
The customer had been experiencing recurring blockages in their domestic drainage system, which can be a frustrating and disruptive problem. When Clear Drains Northwest received the call, our team quickly responded to address the issue. Upon arrival, it was clear that this particular case was not going to be a straightforward fix.
The Solution:
Our dedicated team of professionals knew that they needed to get to the root of the problem. To do this, they first jetted the drain to clear any immediate blockages. However, they didn’t stop there. To provide a comprehensive solution, our experts carried out a CCTV survey of the drain.
The CCTV survey revealed a major defect in the drainage system, and it was located under a double extension of the customer’s property. This presented a significant challenge since an internal excavation was not a feasible option due to space limitations from a soil vent pipe (SVP).
To overcome this hurdle, our skilled team decided on a strategic plan. They conducted a small excavation at the Y-junction of the drainage system, and from there, performed a patch repair both upstream and downstream from this point. For this repair, they used high-quality materials, including cali and triple skin. This choice was made to ensure that the patch repair would be robust and durable, reducing the risk of any issues in the future.
The Result:
Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Clear Drains Northwest team, the customer was delighted with the outcome. The major defect was successfully repaired, and the customer’s drainage system was now in excellent working condition. With heated porcelain tiles and an extended double space, an internal excavation was not just difficult but impractical. Our team’s innovative approach resolved the issue effectively, allowing the customer to finally relax and enjoy peace of mind.
